dear filippo and rachel, we had a faboulous time at San Fabiano. It was a great location from which to explore the Tuscan countryside and the cities of Florence and Siena. It was great to be able to return to San Fabiano each evening to relax in the confortable surroundings. Our children really enjoyed the swimming pool and the ping pong. Hopefully this is not the last time we will stay here. Thank you all for your hospitality. It is much apreciated. Martin

dear Rachel, dear Filippo, Dear Alexandra, after two wonderful weeks at San Fabiano, in Tuscany, we had to leave... we enjoyed your great hospitality, much more confortability than we ever had expected for a holiday apartment (it was like in an hotel, with daily cleaning and much more conveniences). We loved the stylish and tasteful decorated house, and beeing that we had 40 ° C almost every day, the the great pool! It was nice to have met you. You made our holidays in Italy a great experience. Hopefully we will come back one day! Brigit

“Magical Villa of Monteroni d’ Arbia” Reviewed 2 days ago by kathya2010 After doing a tremendous amount of research to accommodate 19 people comfortably in Tuscany, we selected San Fabiano for our family reunion for a week in July. We rented the entire Villa. Our group included ages between 11 and 85, with most between 17-60 years old. San Fabiano exceeded our expectations and is actually more spectacular looking than the pictures posted. The property is perfectly manicured and our hosts clearly exhibit pride of ownership. Rachel, Filippo and Sondra (a true gem) welcomed us with warmth and hospitality during the entire week. Son David (17) also joined us for a couple of days and became part of our family. Our hosts gave helpful information, arranged for horseback riding and toured us around the lovely nearby town of Monteroni d’ Arbia which is walking distance from the Villa. They were available 24/7 to offer suggestions or assist in our plans. Although they live in the Farmhouse and you see them frequently they are not intrusive. Rachel took some of us grocery shopping (well stocked, affordable local grocery store) in Monteroni d’ Arbia, while Filippo took us on a morning bike ride through the town while shopping at the local farmers market. One evening after dinner, Filippo even shared a special bottle of cognac with us! When we arrived we were greeted with two quality bottles of San Fabiano wine. We had cocktails/wine and appetizers most nights under the gazebo by the pool surrounded by glorious sunflowers. There are many activities at the Villa including ping-pong, archery, musical instruments, volleyball, a trampoline, and bikes for all, to name a few. Filippo also took many excellent photos capturing sweet family moments, a treasure of memories. The four suites and Le Tortore are... Read more

There are many activities at the Villa including ping-pong, archery, musical instruments, volleyball, a trampoline, and bikes for all, to name a few. Filippo also took many excellent photos capturing sweet family moments, a treasure of memories. The four suites and Le Tortore are clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. Air conditioning was essential as we were in Tuscany during the summer. Our hosts kept the main part of the farmhouse quite cool which was perfect. All suites and Le Tortore have air conditioning but the lower suites (first floor) in the farmhouse remained cooler than the upper suites according to my siblings who stayed upstairs. Laundry is available for a charge and your sheets are changed on a weekly basis unless you want to pay to have them changed more frequently. Bathrooms are cleaned daily with clean towels being left when needed, along with garbage removal and floors being swept. Although everyone had their own kitchen we frequently cooked together in the main kitchen, which was well stocked with pots, pans, wine glasses, etc. San Fabiano’s location is ideal as it is 20 minutes from Siena and close to many other captivating cities including Florence. Many family members took advantage of hiking, biking and running offered in this scenic and safe location. Being close to Monteroni d’ Arbia, a quaint town with shops, restaurants, train & bus station, was very convenient for our entire family. The children had the freedom to stroll downtown for gelato and most anything we needed was immediately available. Our favorite local restaurant was La Galera. We made reservations for the 19 of us with the wonderful & engaging owner Elisabetta for our last night at San Fabiano and although it was after numerous delicious Italian meals all over Tuscany, this was the best meal we had all week! Sondra kept a smile on her face the entire time and was extremely helpful. We asked our hosts if we could take her home with us but they laughed saying there is a long list of people making the same request! Please note there is a significant difference between booking directly versus booking through TripAdvisor. We look forward to returning to San Fabiano and are delighted to have selected the perfect place for our family reunion. Kathleen
